Carly Walter is a holistic therapist, menopause and hormone coach, and founder of MAGI, an AI wellbeing companion built by and for neurodivergent women.
Alongside MAGI, Carly runs Wellbeing Reimagined – a coaching and mentoring practice where she works with neurodivergent and hormonally sensitive women, leaders and founders, who are ready to create lives that work for them.
Carly was one of the innovators chosen for Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber’s flagship accelerator programme, Propel. The programme offers Healthtech innovators a six-month course of support and guidance aimed at accelerating company growth and increased market presence.
Participation in the Propel programme
The 6-month course offers masterclasses, 1-2-1 support and access to expert partner organisations. The course is designed to help innovators navigate the complexities of the healthcare system so new innovations can be brought to the region.
Propel introduced Carly to key NHS stakeholders and programme partners who understand the complexities and challenges of digital health innovation, especially around regulatory requirements, NHS adoption and funding routes.
Propel also helped foster relationships with other innovators creating a collaborative community to share ideas, provide accountability and encouragement.
How we helped
The propel programme helped Carly by introducing her to ecosystem partners such as Medipex Ltd, to understand more about navigating NHS pathways. Mentoring and workshops also helped her refine how she communicated the value of MAGI to different audiences from investors to health system partners. The programme gave Carly the confidence to position MAGI as a disruptive wellbeing platform and gave her practical connections and resources that have helped shape her next steps.
Next steps since the programme
Since Propel, MAGI has gone from vision to traction. Carly won the Mayor’s Big Health Challenge (development phase), and the MAGI team is now looking for NHS pilot site opportunities and exploring corporate partnerships. The team has also expanded its advisory board to strengthen their approach to secure data structures as they prepare to build MAGI.
