Heart Failure Academy - study days
Why should I attend?
These sessions are multidisciplinary, providing a fantastic opportunity to network and share best practice. We will examine local system challenges and how we can work together across sectors to support people living with heart failure to get the best outcomes.
Aim
The aim of this study day is to support healthcare professionals to develop their knowledge and skills to provide a person centred approach to recognising the signs and symptoms of heart failure, enabling a timelier diagnosis, swift escalation to the right treatment at the right time.
Learning outcomes
At the end of the study day, healthcare professionals will
- have an increased confidence in recognising the signs and symptoms of heart failure
- be able to describe the appropriate referral of people with suspected heart failure
- be able to summarise the management of different heart failure phenotypes
- apply a person centred approach, evidence-based approach to heart failure therapy in a range of clinical scenarios
- develop advance care planning consultation skills
Dates
The content of each study day will be essentially the same on each date but tailored to each region (Humber North Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and West Yorkshire).
