Increasing rates of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the major threats to human health.
The Academic Health Science Network for the North East and North Cumbria, in partnership with NHS England and NHS Improvement, is calling on innovators from all areas who are interested in developing solutions to submit applications to the following five unmet challenges:
- Training and education
- Diagnostic tests and point of care testing across the entire pathway
- Encouraging responsible antibiotic prescribing
- Encouraging adequate hydration
- Surveillance programme and improved data systems
Funding is available to support the development of these solutions and the deadline for applications is 31 January 2020.
