New West Yorkshire Digital Ambassadors' Programme

A new digital ambassador programme is launching in West Yorkshire to upskill the workforce across primary care. The initial focus of the programme will be on supporting Additional Roles Reimbursement Scheme (ARRS) roles in the first cohort.

Taking place over nine weeks virtually, the programme will develop fundamental knowledge and resources in digital transformation and innovation.

The commitment will be 1.5 – 2 hours for each session per week, with some pre and post module activities.

Delegates will also benefit from be able to transfer these skills into primary care organisations and given relevant tools and templates to support delivery.

The programme at a glance:

Week 1: Understanding the NHS and your role in it

Week 2: Introduction to digital technologies

Week 3: Overview of the need to undertake a digital readiness assessment and understand the organisations digital maturity

Week 4: Aim to develop confidence and understanding the governance and legislation that support digital transformation and innovation

Week 5: Provide guidance around inclusive digital transformation, exploring how technology can be used to create an environment that is accessible and inclusive for everyone

Week 6: Provide a guideline to start implementing change

Week 7: How to successfully measure the impact change and how this can help to develop a Case for Change or a Business Case

Week 8: How digital innovation and transformation can help to reduce inequity and inequalities in health

Week 9: Final session will focus on consolidating and reflecting upon the lessons learnt in the previous modules

Deadline for applications has now been extended to 20 September 2023 (11pm) and you should expect a response from us on whether you have been accepted or not by Friday 22 September 2023.
