Proud to support new ICS
Posted: 2nd October 2018
October 1 2018 saw the launch of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Integrated Care System (ICS).
£25million of funding has been allocated to addressing health inequalities and improving services across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) and the ICS will work with local partners across the SYB geography to ensure a collaborative approach to improving health outcomes for the population.
The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN is delighted to be supporting the work of the ICS and we will continue to work closely together as they embark on this new journey. Whilst the AHSN will support a number of programmes and projects being led by the ICS, we are particularly excited to be supporting the development of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Innovation Hub.
The SYB Innovation Hub will be a pioneering development, supporting the matching of prioritised un-met need or ‘system problems’ with proven innovations to help drive improved health outcomes, operational and clinical processes and patient experience across the SYB health economy.
It will provide a single point of contact for industry partners and academia seeking partnerships and be a visible, tangible and accessible unit for our health and care colleagues to seek guidance and advice on bringing innovation into frontline healthcare delivery.
Though the development of the Innovation Hub is still in its early stages, the ICS is working closely with the AHSN to define the scope of the Innovation Hub and ensure an effective operational model capable of quickly accessing innovative healthcare solutions to solve the problems of the system.
