CVDRM Fellowship open for applications

Applications are invited for the first Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolic (CVDRM) Fellowship in the North East and Yorkshire, a flagship development programme for leaders and emerging leaders working to improve cardiovascular, renal and metabolic outcomes.

This is a a nine-month regional development programme delivered by Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber created to build capability, leadership and system-level improvement.

It has been co-designed and developed based on stakeholder feedback from across the North East and Yorkshire region to meet the needs of the local population.

The Fellowship is endorsed by the NHS North East and Yorkshire Regional team and all four Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) in the region and offers:

  • Monthly masterclasses delivered by expert speakers
  • Practical quality improvement and leadership training
  • Opportunity to lead and implement a system-impact project
  • Coaching, peer learning and a community of practice

FAQ

Q: How many places are available on the Fellowship?

A: 20 places per ICB (80 total)

Q: Who is eligible to apply?

A: Anyone who is involved in prevention, CVRM care, inequalities, community outreach, transformation or leadership at PCN/neighbourhood level, we encourage you to apply. This includes (but is not limited to): GPs, PCN pharmacists, nurses, AHPs, Community pharmacy leaders, pharmacy technicians, PCN/Place digital, QI & transformation leads, Emerging and mid-career leaders, local authority representatives, secondary care. If your role is not listed, please email lyndsey.hornby@healthinnovationyh.com for more information.

Q: Does the application need a fully-fledged project idea?

A: The application expects some form of delivery of this project; however, early ideas are fine.

Q: When do applications close?

A: 03 February

Q: When will I find out about my application?

A: Week commencing 2 February you will be invited for a discussion with our review panel sometime the following week of 9 February. All applicants will be informed of final outcomes sometime during the week of 16 February. All dates are subject to change, but we are conscious of the time scales needed by NHS staff so will do our utmost to stick to them.
