Medilink Awards shortlist announced
Posted: 7th January 2020
We’re proud to be shortlisted with our partner Enhance Primary Healthcare for the Primary Care Award at the Medilink Healthcare Business Awards 2020.
Enhance Primary Healthcare delivers a range of NHS contracted clinical services for patients including dermatology and minor surgery. It has developed several digital products, including care navigation systems and eReception.
eReception was designed with the NHS to improve efficiencies by converting patient enquiries to a digital format, improving the allocation of staff and allowing greater flexibility in handling enquiries via care navigation.
The Yorkshire & Humber AHSN has provided support and funding to Enhance Primary Healthcare enabling eReception to be implemented in 20 additional practices. The AHSN is also supporting an evaluation of eReception across the adopting practices to identify patient and system benefits and will involve collecting first-hand patient feedback.
Dr Sean Clarkson, Programme Manager at Yorkshire & Humber AHSN said “Primary care is facing ever increasing pressures and patient numbers, and there is a pressing need to look at how we can streamline services and offer care in different ways. eReception offers a real opportunity to introduce efficiencies within primary care, allowing the system to better cope with increased demand and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care. We’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of Enhance Primary Healthcare’s journey to date, and we look forward to continuing supporting them with scale-up and implementation of their product.”
Dr Guy Baker, Director of Enhance Primary Healthcare said: “Working with the AHSN has allowed us to evidence digital transformation happening at GP Practices. eReception can develop a digital relationship with patients which have both quality and economic benefits at practice level.”
