Nominations announced for Leeds Digital Fest Awards
Posted: 16th September 2020
We are thrilled to announce that we have been nominated for two awards at this year’s Leeds Digital Fest Awards. The awards, which showcase the thriving digital and tech industry in Leeds and the wider city region, celebrate the organisations and individuals who play a key role in the industry.
Our Digital Navigator Jon Fordham has been nominated in the Tech4Good category, an award focusing on organisations that support in delivering ‘positive change within communities or the environment and making the world a better place’.
We have also been nominated for the ‘Facilitator of the Year’ award for our work in supporting the tech and digital ecosystem in Leeds and the wider city region. We are in very good company in the category, as our partner Nexus Leeds has also been nominated.
As well as our nominations, we were delighted to see two of our previous cohorts have also been shortlisted. Congratulations to Barry Singleton from Scaled Insights, for his nomination in the Facilitator of the Year (Individual) category, and Maddie Julien from DigiBete, who has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year!
Judges for this year’s awards include:
- Greg Wright, Business Editor at The Yorkshire Post,
- Cleveland Henry, Director of UKCloud Health,
- Eve Roodhouse, Chief Officer of Economic Development at Leeds City Council,
- Zandra Moore, CEO of Panintelligence.
Neville Young, Director of Enterprise and Innovation for the Yorkshire & Humber AHSN, said: “Yorkshire is fast becoming the heart of the healthtech industry in the UK, so it is great to see so many organisations within the health and care industry nominated at this year’s Leeds Digital Fest awards”.
The awards will be taking place on the 30th September. Good luck to all those nominated!
